Charged Up
Our robot uses a swerve drivetrain. The arm functions via a linear actuator and a 90º gear box for the wrist. Intake consists of three compliant wheel rollers that make up two areas: a wide opening for cubes and a narrow opening for cones.
This system allows us to able to reach all levels in the field and handle both cubes and cones efficiently, as well as, easily maneuvering onto the dock. During the 2:15 driver control, we average nine cycles of obtaining and scoring a game piece.
We have two options for autonomous:
2 Cube Balance (25 pts): Starting in front of the first grid (closest from the substations), we score a preloaded cube into the middle level. Then, turning around, we grab a second cube and score it on the highest level. Lastly, we engage the docking station using an auto balance command.
2 Cubes (13 pts): This autonomous starts the same as the 2 Cube Balance, but we do not dock to better compliment potential alliance robots.
